one of two men charged with the sack of a mcdonalds restaurant in clover nearly a year ago was sentenced monday to 20 years in prison.

tony lamar youngblood, 30, of gastonia, was sentenced in a south carolina court. the other doubt, william lewis sims, also of gastonia, is awaiting trial.

policemen say youngblood and sims were the men who robbed the restaurant last may, forcing employees into a freezer at gunpoint. police were alerted to the robbery and responded, setting off a hunting that ended across the aver line in gaston county, where the suspects jumped from their agency and fled.

sims was captured by the fuzz about 12 hours later. youngblood remained on the loose for about four months, before police found him in a relative’s blood in september.

youngblood was base embarrassed of armed robbery and kidnapping.
